Shanghai Adolescents'Science and Technology Innovation Contest (SASTIC) is a regional contest of China Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest, which established in 1982 and of Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

About
Shanghai Adolescents'Science and Technology Innovation Contest is held by Shanghai Association for Science and Technology and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and other dozen organizations, joining a general evaluation commission of experts from more than 180 academic societies subject to Shanghai Association for Science and Technology and relative colleges and institutes and 17 district evaluation commissions.
In March 2014, Shanghai witnessed 29th period of Shanghai Adolescents'Science and Technology Innovation Contest, which involving more than 100 thousand students from Shanghai. Students with excellent projects will have chances to be selected as candidates to participate in China Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest, Awarding program for Futures Scientists,Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), "International Sustainable World (Energy,Engineering,Environment) Project Olympiad (I-SWEEEP)" etc. In the above-mentioned contests, Shanghai contestants got many grand awards. Shanghai Science Association for Young Talents is the office of organization commission of SASTIC.
Theme & Aim
The theme of Shanghai Adolescents'Science and Technology Innovation Contest is "Innovation·Practice·Growth". The aim is to promote science activities among adolescents, to select young talents in science and technology innovation, to nurture innovation ability and practice ability for adolescents, to promote course design ability and instruction ability for science instructors.
