The Services Preparatory Institute (SPI) was established in 1977 by the Government of Maharashtra in Aurangabad, Maharashtra to prepare Maharashtrian boys to join the Officer Cadre of the Defence Services. The Institute provides personalized coaching for the UPSC (NDA) written entrance examination. The training and the curriculum at the SPI is formulated so that the young men are automatically prepared to appear before the Services Selection Board's (SSB) interviewers.
