Service King Collision Repair, a Multi-Shop Operator (MSO), was founded in 1976 by Eddie Lennox in Dallas, Texas. Service King is the largest provider of collision repair services in Texas and one of the largest independently owned and operated provider of collision repair services in the United States.

In 2012, The Carlyle Group purchased a majority stake in Service King. Global investment and advisory group Blackstone purchased majority ownership in Service King in July 2014. Service King officially eclipsed the 200-location milestone by December 2014, and continues to expand across the country.
