Sekisui House (積水ハウス, Sekisui Hausu) is one of Japan's largest homebuilders. It was founded in 1960 and is headquartered in Osaka. In 2009, Sekisui House expanded into Australia and Russia before expanding into China and the United States the following year.
The company has its roots in Sekisui Chemical, which was historically a significant player in the chemical industry but has since diversified its operations in response to competitive pressures from Asia. It now supplies medical diagnostic laboratory equipment and manufactures pharmaceuticals on a global scale. Sekisui Chemical maintains a network of over 100 subsidiaries and affiliated companies.
