Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) is a UAE entity established based on the federal decree No. (4) in 2000. The Authority is a legal entity, which is financially and administratively independent, reported directly to the Economy Minister. The main objective of the Authority is to supervise and monitor the markets.

History

The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) was established by Federal Law No. (4) of 2000 enacted by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Authority is a legal entity of autonomous status, enjoying financial and administrative independence with ultimate powers required for the execution of its tasks in line with the provisions of Law No. (4) of 2000.
