Seattle mayoral election, 2017

The 2017 Seattle mayoral election will be held on November 7, 2017, to elect the mayor of Seattle. Incumbent mayor Ed Murray has announced that he will seek a second term in office. Several local activists have announced that they will run against Murray.

Municipal elections in Washington are officially non-partisan. A non-partisan primary will be held on August 1, 2017. The top two candidates with the most votes in the primary will advance to the November 7 general election.
