Scott Sterling is a fictional sports personality, played by Matt Meese, who appears in two comedy videos for the television show Studio C.
Sterling first appeared on Studio C as a soccer goalkeeper for Yale who (inadvertently) blocked five penalty kicks with his face, one of which happened to hit off the goal and onto his face. The original soccer video went viral, attracting 10 million views in 10 days and 20 million views in the first few months after release.
In a video released in March 2016, Sterling joins Yale once again as team captain of the volleyball team. In this video he (once again) inadvertently blocks volleyballs with his face, leading Yale to victory. This clip reached over 1 million views in less than 24 hours.
Both videos are the most popular on Studio C's YouTube channel (as of January 2017, the soccer video has over 50 million views and the volleyball video has over 22 million views) and BYU TV.
