Schweizerischer Werkbund, (translated as Swiss Werkbund) is the name used for a group of associated artists working within the discipline known as design.

The Werkbund was founded by Max Haefeli senior during 1915. At the time of founding the director was a person named Alfred Altherr.

The Werkbund created a film to publicize the very first Swiss housing exhibition held within the country known as Belgium. The exhibition was known as WOBA.

The instigation of the die Gut Forme campaign after World War II was the responsibility of the Werkbund. The campaign sought to proliferate the aims and ideals of the functionalism movement, and continued from sometime during 1949 to its closure sometime during 1969.
