Say It Loud – I'm Black and I'm Proud is the 27th studio album by American musician James Brown. The album was released in March 1969, by King.

Bob Marley was a big fan of the album when it was released, and with The Wailers covered "I've Got To Cry Cry Cry" (as My Cup) as well as using "Say It Loud" as the basis for his own "Black Progress". He also used some lyrics from "Licking Stick" in "Soul Shakedown Party", some from "I Love You" in "Do It Twice", and some from "Let Them Talk" in "Soul Rebel".
