Overview
Originally based in Los Angeles, Sator Press began after Blake Butler emailed Ken the manuscript for The Complete Works of Marvin K. Mooney by Christopher Higgs. Since 2009, the press has released a collection of aphorisms by the poet Mark Leidner, Eric Raymond's satirical novel Confessions from a Dark Wood, the novelist Mark Gluth's No Other, and the poetry collection Salt Is For Curing by Sonya Vatomsky, which has been praised by Ariana Reines. Sator also distributes copies of No Colony, a literary journal co-edited by Blake Butler and Ken Baumann.
In 2016, Sator launched its first imprint, Satyr Press, with the title Maze of the Blue Medusa by Zak Sabbath and Patrick Stuart.
