Saniya Touqeer is a film and television child actress. She made her debut from the well knows TV Serial Jodha Akbar. She did childhood role of Anarkali. Saniya is a dancer and has participated in reality show Dance India Dance. She has also done a cameo on Akbar Birbal and worked in Balika Vadhu.
Saniya is currently playing Sumit's daughter role in the serial Sumit Sambhal Lega.
Saniya made her debut in Jodha Akbar with her sibling Sumbul Touqeer who played character of Mehtab, the niece of Akbar. Saniya and Sumbul are daughter of Touqeer Hasan Khan, a choreographer who works for dance reality shows. Saniya and Sumbul shifted to Mumbai with their father after the demise of their mother in 2011. Saniya and Sumbul have trained under Monika Verma’s academy called Sehejmoodra Acting Academy.
Saniya and Sumbul have earlier participated in three reality shows – Zee TV’s Dance India Dance, Star Plus’ India’s Dancing Superstar and Hindustan Ka Big Star on Big Magic.
