Shakha refers to the daily meetings of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh.

This includes sports, Geets, Subhashit, Amrutvachan, Yogasanas and Prayer.

Introduction

The shakha is the backbone of the RSS and HSS. It is a daily gathering of swayamsevaks, which is held in an open ground for an hour either in the morning or in the evening.

Shakha is started by doing Parnam to the Flag of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Parnam is done by putting your right hand on center of chest facing towards earth and showing respect by bending head.

In shakha, swayamsevaks perform exercises, play games, sing patriotic or devotional songs, have discussions,learn about dharma, etc.

The shakha makes swayamsevaks healthy and fit, both physically and mentally, teaches them about their culture and instils in them moral values. It also builds in them organisational skills and the ability to work as a team.It also teaches them to be social and learns then to do seva

In modern age of telecommunications, HSS Sangh Shakha has expended through the state-of-art online communications, called as eShakha.
