San Pietro is a Baroque style, Roman Catholic church in central Reggio Emilia, Italy.
History
A church at the site putatively existed in the 12th century, but a new building was consecrated in 1513 for the Benedictine Order, with an adjacent monastery. The present church was rebuilt in the 17th century under designs of Giulio della Torre, with a cupola (1625-1629) designed by Paolo Messori. Further reconstructions occurred in recent centuries. The interior has paintings by Alessandro Tiarini, Paolo Emilio Besenzi, and Malossi.
