The San Diego State University Men's Lacrosse Team is a club sport at San Diego State University. Established in 1977, SDSU currently competes in the MCLA (Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association) Division 1 within the SLC (Southwestern Lacrosse Conference).

1970's - birth of a program

The San Diego State Men's Lacrosse Team was established in 1977.

1990's

Scott Porter led the league in big hits and slashing penalties.

Current coaching staff

Head Coach Charlie Jackson joined the team in 2012 for the 2013 season. Coach Jackson is a San Diego native with deep roots in the sport of lacrosse. He was previously the head coach of Chico State. Prior to Chico State, Jackson was the Head coach at Acalanes High School and Las Lomas High School in the San Francisco bay area. He also has ties to several high school travel teams including Sacramento Elite, Team Nor Cal, USA West, East Bay Chiefs, and Soul Grind. His staff at SDSU includes Dan Collins - Defensive Coordinator, Andrew Oneill - Offensive Coordinator, Joseph Zingali - Face Off's and Midfield, and Billy Double - Goalies. Dan Hemmings was brought on in 2013 as the team's General Manager and Recruiting Director. Matt Hoeger also joined the staff in 2013 as a Grad Assistant. The staff has been very successful in the recruiting department, signing over 35 recruits from 12 different states for the 2013-2014 season.
