San' 75 Pachattar is an upcoming Indian periodic thriller film directed by Navneet Behal and produced by Kabir Lovee under the banner Pehle Aap Motion Pictures. It stars Kay Kay Menon, Kirti Kulhari, Tom Alter and Pravesh Rana. It is based in the year 1975, when Emergency was declared in India. The movie was supposed to be released on 1st July but has been postponed.

Backdrop
San' 75 Pachattar is set in the year 1975, when the then President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed under Article 352(1) of the Constitution, declared a "state of emergency" for "internal disturbance", the Emergency was in effect from 25 June 1975 until its withdrawal on 21 March 1977. The order bestowed upon the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi the authority to rule by decree, allowing elections to be suspended and civil liberties to be curbed. For much of the Emergency, most of Gandhi's political opponents were imprisoned and the press was censored. Several other atrocities were reported from the time, including a forced mass-sterilisation campaign spearheaded by Sanjay Gandhi, the Prime Minister's son. The Emergency is one of the most controversial periods of independent India's history.[1]
Plot
The film is set in the year 1975, when emergency was declared. The plot revolves around the arrival of the first mobile phone in India and the chase behind it. A telephone conversation is recorded which reveals the deal regarding the mobile phone and the amount involved. Hence the chase begins to acquire the technology that could help manipulate the system and the country without any surveillance.

Filming and development
Director Navneet Behal, along with writers Maitreyi Bajpai & Ramiz Ilham Khan researched for two years about the era and its aspects to portray a realistic view of the seventies. Filming of the movie started in early 2015 and was shot within a timeframe of 50 days. The film has been shot extensively in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Various objects and properties were used to create a vintage look in the film. The director also ensured the characters looked and felt authentic according to the period, in aspects of fashion and styling, lifestyles and their use of language.
Music
The sound design for the movie has been done by P. M. Satheesh and Manoj M. Goswami. The Background score of the movie is created by Sandeep Madhavan.

Marketing
Pehle Aap Motion Pictures launched an innovative marketing campaign prior to the trailer launch. A phone call, recorded with Kay Kay Menon's voice was sent to fans and audience followed by a WhatsApp message with a movie teaser announcing the date of trailer launch. The trailer, with a runtime of 2 min 43 secs was released on 7 June 2016 amid much excitement.
