Samuel C. Bennett (ca. 1810 – May 1893) was an English-born physician and leader in the early Latter Day Saint movement.

Role in Mormonism

In 1839, Bennett was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He became a Trustee of University of Nauvoo and served as surgeon in Nauvoo Legion. He served as Nauvoo, Illinois city alderman/associate justice from 1843 to 1845.

He was excommunicated in October 1844. Bennett later associated with both Sidney Rigdon's Church of Christ and James J. Strang's Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
