The Samsung HMX-R10 is a camcorder by Samsung Electronics and has an unusual design with a brushed aluminium finish and is available in black. It also features a lens that is tilted 25 degrees for a more comfortable experience to the user. The camcorder was first released in 2008 (UK) and cost around £400. It features an 8× zoom and electronic image stabilisation; shoots in full HD at 1080/50i for an effective 25 fps (at 17 Mbit/s), or 720p at 50 fps and a bitrate of 12 Mbit/s; and it also takes 9-megapixel stills or 12-megapixels through interpolation. The camcorder also features a 2.7-inch touch screen.

Samsung followed it with SMX-C20, SMX-C24 and HMX-M20 models released in 2010.
