Samar Alami, a Lebanese-Palestinian woman, and daughter of a banker, was convicted, along with fellow Palastinian Jawad Botmeh, of conspiracy to cause explosions, in a case arising from the 1994 London Israeli Embassy attack.
She graduated with a BSc in chemical engineering from University College London and an MSc from Imperial College London.
