Samad Ali Changezi was a Flight Lieutenant in Pakistan Air Force who fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Samad Ali belonged to the Hazara ethnic minority of Quetta, Pakistan. He was also one of the members of the No. 9 Squadron (Pakistan Air Force), the Pakistan Air Force's first fighter squadron.

Honors and awards

During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, Samad was shot down in the middle of his eleventh mission for his country. For his act of valour and for sacrificing his life for the cause of the country, he was awarded the Sitara-e-Jurat, the third-highest military honour of Pakistan.
