Salmagundi is a quarterly periodical of the humanities and social sciences which aims to address the general reader. The name refers to the 19th-century periodical of the same name published by Washington Irving.
History and profile
Salmagundi was founded in 1965, and Skidmore College has produced it since 1969. The founder was Robert Boyers. The headquarters is in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
