Salem West is a newly formed state assembly constituency in Indian state of Tamil Nadu after the constituency delimitations 2008. It consists of portions of the Omalur and Salem taluks. It falls under Salem (Lok Sabha constituency).

Salem West consists of the following parts in its limits:

  • Omalur Taluk (Part) - Muthunaickenpatti, Chellapillaikuttai, Pagalpatti, Manguppai, Saminayakkanpatti, Kottagoundampatti, Anaigoundampatti, Vellakkalpatti, T.Konagapadi, Alagusamudram and Karukkalvadi villages.
  • Salem taluk (Part)
    1. Sarkar Gollappatti, A.Ayyamperumalpatti, Chettichavadi, Kondappanayakkanpatti, M.Palapatti and Selathampatti villages.
    2. Thalavaipatti (CT) and Mallamooppampatti (CT).
    3. Salem Municipal Corporation Wards - No.1 to 5 and No.17 to 25
