Sakharam Meshram

Sakharam Meshram, better known as S. K. Meshram (Marathi: सखाराम मेश्राम) (16 August Unknown – 16 February Unknown), was an Indian politician from the state of Maharashtra. He was the first Mayor of Nagpur city of modern Maharashtra. He was a member of the Republican Party of India. He became Mayor of Maharashtra for the First time after the formation of separate Maharashtra state from the combined state of C.P & Berer (Central Province and Berar). He was also the Mayor of Nagpur Municipal Corporation of Maharashtra.

Early life

Sakharam Meshram, popularly known as “Meshram Sahab”, (Marathi :साहाब) was born on 16 August unknown in the village of Parsodi, in the Nagpur taluka, Nagpur district in the State of Maharashtra. His brother being also the politician, succeeded as a Second Mayor of Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
