Sahifah Hammam ibn Munabbih is sometimes quote as one of the earliest known hadith collections, that still extant today by 8th century scholar Hammam ibn Munabbih. It has been translated, in the 20th century, by Muhammad Hamidullah. Two copies of Sahifa Hammam bin Munabbah manuscript were discovered; one in a Damascus library and the other in a library in Berlin. Dr. Hamidullah published it after carefully comparing the two manuscripts.

The view holding the sahifah of Hammam ibn Munabbih being very early has, however, been disputed.

Hammam bin Munabbah (b. 19h) was a disciple of Abu Hurairah. It was generally known that the Sahifah had been completely included in the Musnad Ahmad.
