The SX-404 class was a type of midget submarine used in the 1970s. Originally designed by Italy, six were sold to Pakistan in 1972-3. They were built by a shipbuilding company named Cosmos, in Livorno.

The class were some of the smallest submarines in the world at the time, but could still carry twelve passengers, making them invaluable for raids and reconnaissance in shallow water.
