Srishti, is the annual technical fest of IEEE PSG Tech Students's Chapter held between October to December of each year. It is a two-day-long festival with events in the electrical, electronics, robotics and information domains. The event involves 3000 participants from all over India. Srishti consists of various events, workshops, Seminars and guest lectures by invited speakers from the industry.

History

The Student's chapter of IEEE PSG College of Technology was founded by Dr. Subbaiyan in 1974, Then Hod of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, PSG Tech. He served as its first faculty advisor. IEEE PSG Tech celebrated it Silver Jubilee in 1999 with events, Workshops and lectures held all round the year. The current Faculty advisor of IEEE PSG Tech is Dr. S. Subha Rani, who has served the Society for more than a decade. Srishti was conceived and started by Nikhil Bhat, back in 2006. It was a big success in its first edition itself.The second edition had Mr.Azim Premji as its chief guest. SRISHTI '14, an exclusive technical fest of IEEE PSG Tech was celebrated on February 15, marking the successful passage of the society into its fortieth year. The 10th edition of Srishti took place on October 1 and 2 of 2016 with Mr. Umesh Kesavan IAS, Assistant Collector of Palakkad District as its distinguished Chief Guest and had more than 1000 participants.

About IEEE PSG Tech

IEEE in an attempt to increase the student participation in research publications, founded the IEEE Student chapters in premiere institutes all over the world. PSG College of Technology which has always set milestones in engineering education became one of the few institutes to have a Student branch of a world-renowned professional body and also the First institute in south India to do so. IEEE PSG Tech has been doing opulent work since then.
