SM U-153 was one of the 329 submarines serving in the Imperial German Navy in World War I. U-153 was engaged in the naval warfare and took part in the First Battle of the Atlantic.

U-153 surrendered to the United Kingdom on 24 November 1918, just after the end of World War I. The British scuttled her in the English Channel off the Isle of Wight on 30 June 1921.
