Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio (ソニー・インタラクティブ・エンタテインメント・ジャパン・スタジオ) (SIEJ) is the Japanese video game production and development arm of the parent company Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), most well known for the Ape Escape, LocoRoco and Patapon series.

Company overview

Japan Studio operates as part of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios. The development group also includes Team Ico, who are best known for the PlayStation 2 games Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, and Project Siren, known for the Siren series and the PlayStation Vita titles Gravity Rush and Soul Sacrifice. Within SCE, Sugar & Rockets, an internal development team previously known as Exact, worked on games such as Ghost in the Shell, Geograph Seal, Jumping Flash!, Robbit Mon Dieu, and Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn.
