SCAC UAV is a Chinese UAV developed by Chengde Soar Cloud Aviation Club (SCAC, 承德翔云航空俱乐部) and has entered service in China for surveillance and agricultural missions.

FLT-1100

Originally formed by a group of aviation enthusiasts as a club of model airplanes fans, SCAC has evolved into exploration on UAV applications, and eventually, ventured into developing UAV of its own design. FLT-1100 is the first UAV developed by SCAC and it is a hexacopter with a pair of skids as landing gear. FLT-1100 is designed by a team of SCAC members Mr. Fan Jiang-Yan (樊江岩), Mr. Sun Guo-Wei (孙国威), and Mr. Zhang Zhong-Yu (张忠钰), the founder of SCAC, who is also the general designer. Mr. Zhang Zhong-Yu is the deputy commander of Food and Medicine Safety Protection Squadron of Chengde Municipal Police Bureau and spends most of his spare time as an aviation enthusiast. Mr. Zhang discovered that UAV is mostly deployed in reconnaissance role, but for most of the time, rapid reaction is needed and ground force cannot reach the incident in a timely manner. FLT-1100 is thus developed to provide some solution to this dilemma by arming UAV with light weight weaponry. FLT-1100 made its public debut in May 2014 at the 7th [China International Exhibition on Police Equipment 2014 (CIEPE, 中国国际警用装备博览会)] where it was announced that the UAV has entered production at the 9604th Factory, and will be used in conjunction with Chengde Police Bureau Hawk Eye series fixed wing UAV. An agricultural derivative has also been developed to meet the urgent need of severe farm labor shortage resulted from more and more peasants migrating and staying in cities without returning to rural area. The agricultural derivative of FLT-1100 (植保无人机, literal translation: plant protection UAV) is mainly intended for crop dusting and with a payload of 8 – 10 kg, it is thirty times more efficient than traditional manual labor. The agricultural derivative of FLT-1100 has entered service at the end of June in 2014.
