Rybno-Slobodsky District (Russian: Ры́бно-Слобо́дский райо́н; Tatar: Балык Бистәсе районы) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the center of the republic. The area of the district is 2,052 square kilometers (792 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Rybnaya Sloboda. Population: 27,630 (2010 Census); 29,653 (2002 Census); 31,884 (1989 Census). The population of Rybnaya Sloboda accounts for 27.8% of the district's total population.
