Russell Howard & Mum: USA Road Trip is a British comedy/travel series presented by comedian Russell Howard.

The series was commissioned in April 2016. The first episode was broadcast on Comedy Central on 19 October 2016. A second series is scheduled to be broadcast in 2017.

Premise

The series features Howard and his mother, Ninette, travelling across America and meeting people with unusual hobbies and obsessions.

Series 1 (2016)

  • Episode 1 - Howard and his mum search for alien life, they're heading to the UFO capital of the USA: Nevada. They join an abductee support group and venture out to a UFO hot spot. Broadcast on 19 October 2016.
  • Episode 2 - Howard and his mum visited Utah to meet and train with the Survival Preppers. They were made up as action heroes, capable of facing a zombie apocalypse. Broadcast on 26 October 2016.
  • Episode 3 - Howard and his mum ventured south to the Hip Hop capital of the USA: Atlanta. Under the guidance of Dr Dax, they attempte to master the four elements of Hip Hop. Broadcast on 2 November 2016.
  • Episode 4 - Howard and his mum visited one of the USA's most haunted cities: Savannah, Georgia. During their stay, the Howards investigated various paranormal activities. Broadcast on 9 November 2016.
  • Episode 5 - Howard and his mum were in South Carolina where they joined the Knights of Destruction, an All-American Demolition Derby. Broadcast 16 November 2016.
  • Episode 6 - Howard and his mum went to New York, and met pampered pet dogs. Broadcast 23 November 2016.
