Ruskin High School is located in the southern part of Kansas City, Missouri and is within the Hickman Mills C-1 School District. Ruskin High School's sports teams are called the Golden Eagles.

Ruskin High School had its first graduating class in 1930.

In 1957, the entire high school was destroyed by a tornado, and was rebuilt soon after. Only one wall was left standing, and all of the letters in the school sign were blown off in the storm, except for four letters, which spelled the word "RUIN"

As of August 2010, former Hickman Mills students have merged with the Ruskin student body. It will soon be called Ruskin Academy of Engineering starting the school year of 2011-2012.

Ruskin had become a school focused on its academics and sports.
