The Rugby League World Cup is an international men's rugby league competition contested every several years between national teams of the members of Rugby League International Federation, the sport's governing body. Australia has won the most Rugby League World Cup championships, with its tenth coming in the 2013 tournament in Europe, in which it defeated New Zealand.

  • Note: in 1957, 1960 and 1975, no World Cup Finals were held with the winner determined by the best record at the end of the group stage. In 1975 a 'Final challenge match' was held between Australia and England at Headingley Rugby Stadium, Leeds with Australia winning 25-0
