Rudy Rotter (1913–2001) was an American outsider and self-taught artist raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Rotter worked as a dentist in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, retiring in 1987 and moved his art production into a large studio which also became his self-created museum. Rudy created over 15,000 pieces of art, sculptures and drawings, which he housed in this rented warehouse.
Rotter's work is in the collections of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and the American Visionary Art Museum.
