Rudolf von Bunau (6 May 1915 – 15 August 1943) was a highly decorated Major in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. von Bunau was killed on 15 August 1943 south of Roslavl. He was posthumously promoted to Major. His father was General der Infanterie Rudolf von Bunau who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves.
