Welcome to Royal Wellington Golf Club, home of New Zealand’s best private members’ parkland course. Situated alongside the Hutt River near Silverstream, our course offers an enjoyable and stimulating golfing challenge in a beautiful setting.
Founded in 1895 at Miramar, the club moved to Heretaunga in 1908 and built an 18 hole course and its current historic and elegant club house. The course was expanded from 18 to 27 holes in 1972-73. The present championship course was redesigned by Greg Turner and Scott Macpherson and opened in 2013. The nine hole Terrace course, which takes in some of the most scenic parts of the club’s property, is also a golfing pleasure. Royal Wellington is the host venue for the 2017 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship.
Although Royal Wellington Golf Club is a private members’ club, visitors are welcome to play the course. The course is generally busy on weekends, so weekdays may be a better option.
