In the Royal Navy, the Fleet flagship is the ship designated as the fleet's principal ship. It is usually an aircraft carrier, but since the 2010 Strategic Defence and Security Review, HMS Albion, an amphibious assault ship, was designated as the fleet flagship. Her sister ship, HMS Bulwark, took over from her in late 2011. Command was transferred to HMS Ocean in June 2015.

Flagship can also indicate that of shore establishments run by senior Naval commanders. In 1960, the Commanders-in-Chief of the Home Fleet and its successors the Western Fleet and the Fleet have flown their flags ashore in HMS Warrior in Northwood.
