Rowan Quentin Smith is a former Dean of St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town. He was educated at King's College London and ordained in 1968.
He had come out as gay while serving as the dean for the cathedral, and had been supported by his congregation. Upon his retirement, his ministry was celebrated by the Diocese of False Bay.
