Route Availability Planning Tool (RAPT) is a software program developed by the MIT Lincoln Laboratory in order to aid air traffic controllers in making flight decisions in the face of weather-related delays. The system is currently under testing in the New York area airport system and so far has resulted in an estimated 2,300 hour reduction in flight delays.
