Rosalind was a trotting mare born May 5, 1933. She is by the sire Scotland out of Alma Lee by Lee Worthy. Scotland was sired by Peter Scott, he by Peter The Great, who was sired by Pilot Medium, he by Happy Medium and he by Hambletonian 10. Alma Lee was also a great-great-great-great granddaughter of Hambletonian 10.

Owned by Gibson White and trained and driven by his father Benjamin F. White, Rosalind won the 1936 Hambletonian at Good Time Park in Goshen, New York the best mile in 2:01¾, a stake mark. She once raced in double harness, hitched to the great trotting gelding Greyhound. Rosalind set a world record of 1:56 3/4 and won twenty-seven races during her career.
