Roman Bürki (born 14 November 1990) is a Swiss professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Borussia Dortmund. Before that Bürki was part of the winning squad of Grasshopper Club Zürich that beat FC Basel 4-3 on a penalty shootout in the Swiss Cup 2013 final.

He is the older brother of the defender Marco Bürki.

Swiss league

Bürki began his career in 2007 with the reserve squad of the BSC Young Boys. In 2009, he moved to FC Thun, and half a year later to FC Schaffhausen. In the summer of 2010 he went back to BSC Young Boys, and again half a year later he was transferred to Grasshopper Club Zürich. First, he was the back-up goalkeeper, later the first goalkeeper. He was on loan until 2013, when Grasshoppers bought his rights.

On 24 May 2014, he signed a contract with SC Freiburg. For the season 2014/15 of Bundesliga it undertook SC Freiburg as the successor of Oliver Baumann In Freiburg Bürki played in all 34 games, but he couldn't prevent the team from being relegated to 2. Bundesliga.

On 14 June 2015, he signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund. He made his Bundesliga debut on Saturday 15 August against Borussia Mönchengladbach in which Dortmund won 4-0.
