Rohe

The Māori people of New Zealand have traditionally used the word rohe to describe the territory or boundaries of tribal groups. In traditional times, prominent geographical features such as mountains, rivers, and lakes defined rohe. This generally remains the case today.

The areas shown on the map are indicative only. Some iwi areas may overlap.
