Robert Morse Crunden

Robert Morse Crunden (born December 23, 1940 in Jersey City, New Jersey – died March 23, 1999) was a professor of American studies and history.

Crunden graduated from Yale University magna cum laude in 1962, and then attended Harvard University where he received his PhD in 1967. While at Yale he was a member of St. Elmo, a secret society. He was a professor at the University of Texas, director of American Studies Department, 1985–1990, and a member of the History Department.
