Robert Ewing (August 10, 1849 – October 23, 1932) was the mayor of Nashville, Tennessee from 1915 to 1917.

Early life
Robert Ewing was born on October 10, 1849 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Career
On July 27, 1915, the City of Nashville was placed in receivership by Chancellor John Allison. As a result of this, mayor Hilary Ewing Howse and several of the commissioners were removed from office.
Later that year Ewing ran as a Democrat and won election as mayor. He was the last mayor to serve a two-year term as the term was extended to four years in 1917.
Personal life
He was married on March 28, 1876 to Harriet Hoyt in the First Presbyterian Church. The Ewings had thirteen children.
Death
He died in Nashville and is buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
