Robert Easton (government official)

Robert H. Easton is the Deputy Superintendent and General Counsel of the New York State Insurance Department. He advises the Superintendent of Insurance and oversees the Department's office of general counsel.

He formerly worked for Sidley & Austin, and served as a law clerk for Chief U.S. District Judge B. Avant Edenfield in the Southern District of Georgia.

He earned a BA in History from Johns Hopkins University, where he was Phi Beta Kappa, and a Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law.
