Ripio is a bitcoin wallet and brokerage service founded in 2014 by Argentinean entrepreneurs Sebastian Serrano and Luciana Gruszeczka. With over 3,000 active users, it is currently one of the most popular bitcoin wallets in Argentina.
Ripio allows users to buy and sell bitcoins with Argentine pesos. User can store and send digital currency to other bitcoin addresses as well as receive digital currency from to other bitcoin wallets.
Ripio currently operates in Argentina as well as in several Latin American countries, such as Mexico and Brazil.
Ripio Exchange
In late 2015, BitPagos acquired Unisend (the only bitcoin exchange in Argentine pesos) giving birth to Ripio Exchange, the site where Ripio users can offer and trade digital money in local currency.
