Right Whale Rocks (54°14′S 36°24′W) is a group of rocks 0.25 nautical miles (0.5 km) north of Barff Point, at the east side of the entrance to Cumberland Bay, South Georgia. The name Merton Rocks was used for this feature on a chart of Cumberland Bay by personnel of HMS Sappho in 1906, but the name Right Whale Rocks is retained because of wider and more recent acceptance.
