Ridit Sunil Nimdia (born 2004) is a chess player from Mumbai, India. At 4 years, 270 days; he became the world’s youngest rated player, when he received his first official Elo rating of 1283. He has participated in nine national championships in India.
In July–Aug 2010, at the age of 5 he participated in Under-7 section of 6th World School Chess Championship held in Kayseri, Turkey. He claimed the third position with score of 6.5/9.
The fact of Ridit Nimdia being the Youngest Rated player was verified and recorded by the Limca book of Records in the 2012 edition with his Photograph.
He also defeated a FIDE rated player in a world championship at the youngest age.
