Richard White (mathematician)

Richard White, or Ricardo Albio (Essex, 1590 – 1682), was a British mathematician and physicist.

Biography

A Catholic Englishman, he studied under Benedetto Castelli in Pisa and lived mostly in Italy. In his book preface, printed in Rome with permission of the Inquisition, he spoke with great admiration of Galileo. He led some experiments on gravity.
