Richard Ronald John Copeland (1884–1958) was the president and chairman from 1913 of the Spode-Copeland firm of bone china manufacturers in Staffordshire.

Biography

Copeland was the second son of Richard Pirie Copeland of Kibblestone Hall, Staffordshire, (High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1902) and grandson of Alderman William Taylor Copeland. Following the family tradition, he was educated at Harrow School; in 1915 he married Ida Fenzi, granddaughter of Sir Douglas Strutt Galton and great-granddaughter of Emanuele Fenzi.

  • High Sheriff of Staffordshire, 1939;
  • President Staffordshire Society, 1951
  • Donor of the Kibblestone Hall Estate in 1954 to the North Staffordshire Boy Scouts' Association.
