Richard Paul Stravius or Richard Pauli-Stravius (1590–1654) was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as Auxiliary Bishop of Cologne (1642–1654) and Titular Bishop of Dionysias.

Biography

Richard Paul Stravius was born in Kuttekoven, Belgium in 1590 and ordained a priest in Liège, Belgium in 1631. In 1634, he was appointed Apostolic Internuncio to Flanders. On 21 Oct 1641, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Urban VIII as Auxiliary Bishop of Cologne and Titular Bishop of Dionysias. On 2 Feb 1642, he was consecrated bishop by Jacques Boonen, Archbishop of Mechelen, with Pierre Antoine Triest, Bishop of Ghent, and Gaspard Dubois, Bishop of Antwerp, serving as co-consecrators. In 1642, he resigned as Apostolic Internuncio to Flanders. He served as Auxiliary Bishop of Cologne until his death on 24 Jan 1654.
